12/16/17 Post Cleanup Report Vance Ave w/Vampire Penguin Eureka
PacOut Green Team and Vampire Penguin Eureka hit Vance Ave. hard at the weekly event on Saturday, 12/16/17. We had a great turn out of 18 awesome volunteers and removed an estimated 1200 lbs from the area around Vance Ave, which runs underneath the Samoa Bridge span on the Samoa/Manilla side of Humboldt Bay. The team found appliances, tvs, construction debris, a barrel of diesel fuel, and various recycle-able containers. There was also a lot of activity around the area in addition to the cleanup event, including some sort of film shoot, runners, cyclists, and a local mycological group out for a foray.
