12/23 Post Cleanup Report Samoa Bridges Launch Facility

Beautiful Saturday morning for a cleanup around the Samoa Launch Facility! We had 18 volunteers eager to do their part to help keep Eureka beautiful along the waterfront area and under the Samoa Bridge on the Eureka side of Humboldt Bay. We collected over 600 lb. of trash in under 60 minutes! Unfortunately we found 67 used syringes in the short amount of time. We are finding more and more of them lately it seems. We also found lots of other items such as an office chair, dvd player, tires, carpet and lots of plastic bags and containers.
