Cleanup Details: This was our first cleanup collaboration with River Life Foundation. We focused on abandoned camps along the banks of the Eel River. If we didn’t get this garbage before the river level rises, it would all go out to the ocean. Awesome turnout, we even had Supervisor Rex Bohn and Sheriff Billy Honsal out there cleaning up with us! We filled up 5 dump trailers, and 2 quads with trailers, with a total weight of 6730 lbs! Major props to Sean and the volunteers over at River Life Foundation. They are a great group of people that really care about protecting our outdoor spaces. Also, major props to our PacOut Green Team volunteers that made it out to Fortuna for this very important cleanup!

  • Volunteers: 42 – Including Supervisor Rex Bohn and Sheriff Billy Honsal
  • Weight: 6730 lbs – All abandoned camps along the Eel River!
  • Time: 90 minutes
  • In collaboration with River Life Foundation
