This was an amazing turnout. We had 68 people. Lots of families, pets, and 1st time cleanup volunteers! Huge thank you to Quality Body Works for providing their dump trailer. Huge thank you to STIL for providing gift cards and gifts for EVERYONE that attended the cleanup. Huge thank you to The People of New Directions for helping us out with the cleanup. Huge thank you for EcoEureka, City of Eureka, and EPD’s CSET team for helping us make this cleanup happen! Lastly, huge thank you to all our amazing volunteers that carved out 90 minutes of their day to pick up 3600 lbs of trash from our beautiful waterfront!

Cleanup Details:

  • Volunteers: 68
  • Weight: 3600 lbs (estimated weight between the dumpster and two trailer loads that went directly to the dump) – 75 sharps, 2 tires, 2 pallets,  large cable, 1 printer, and more! 
  • Time: 90 minutes
