This is a SPECIAL CLEANUP EVENT located at the corner of 15th and M street in Eureka.
There is a significant abandoned camp in the area. A large-scale Salmon Habitat Restoration Project is currently underway, but the camp is contributing trash that is leaking into the creek and the restoration zone. This creek flows through Cooper Gulch and eventually leads to Humboldt Bay. We need your support and are seeking volunteers! A special thank you to Real Deal Removal & Hauling for generously donating their 15-yard dumpster for this cleanup. We’ll gather at the corner of 15th and M Street in Eureka at 8:45 AM before heading to the restoration area where the abandoned camp is situated. We anticipate completing the work in about 60 minutes.
Location:
This weeks cleanup will be held at the corner of 15th and M street in Eureka.
Parking:
Please feel free to park along the road at 15th or M street.
Cleanup Area:
We will focus on the greenbelt just South of the intersection of 15th and M street.
Event Schedule:
We will meet at the intersection of 15th and M street at 8:45 am to sign in. The cleanup will commence at 9:00 am and end at 10:00 am. We will gather for a group photo and raffle at 9:45 am.
