We will meet at the Walmart parking lot, behind the mall. There will be a dumpster there. We will be focusing on the trash along the waterfront trail and abandoned homeless camps. We will be bringing out our Side-by-side with dump trailer for this event. We want to make sure our volunteers spend their time picking up trash, not transporting it.
Humboldt DHHS will be there providing resources and socks for our “Socks for Trash” campaign. We will pass our a pair of socks for each bag of trash picked up by the homeless community. We will also have hygiene kits and Tetanus, COVID, and Hepatitis shots available for the homeless community and our volunteers. Get a re-up on your Tetanus shot at no charge!
This is a kid and dog friendly cleanup!
We will meet at 8:45 am to sign in. We will start the cleanup at 9:00 am and it will end at 10:00am. We meet for a group photo and raffle at 9:45 am.
