Mad River Beach Cleanup Event Details
Location:
We will meet at the parking lot of Mad River Beach. You head out there through the Arcata Bottoms.
Parking:
Please feel free to park in the Mad River Beach parking lot. If that lot fills up, you can park along the road heading into the parking lot.
Cleanup Area:
Our focus will be on the parking lot area and the dunes. This area typically has a lot of pallet fire pits, which means we will use our large magnets to fish out the nails.
Event Schedule:
We will meet at the Mad River Beach parking lot at 8:45 am to sign in. The cleanup will commence at 9:00 am and end at 10:00 am. We will gather for a group photo and raffle at 9:45 am.
We are also seeking donations for raffle items to reward our incredible volunteers. If you’re interested in contributing, we’re looking for small-dollar items and gift cards ($10-$20 value). Email us at PacOutGreenTeam@gmail.com
This year marks our 10th anniversary, and we couldn’t continue without the support of our community. Thanks to your help over the past decade, we are on track to surpass one million pounds of garbage collected.
