We experienced an incredible turnout for this crucial cleanup event. In just 60 minutes, we filled a 20-yard dumpster to capacity! The neighborhood showed tremendous support, and it’s inspiring to witness community members taking pride in their surroundings. We removed a wide variety of items from this delicate greenbelt, which is currently undergoing a significant salmon restoration project. A substantial amount of litter was cleared from the creek and its vicinity. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the fantastic volunteers who participated in this cleanup. We were pleasantly surprised when Blue Lake Casino stopped by with four $25 dining gift cards and four umbrellas to reward our dedicated volunteers. Thank you, Blue Lake Casino! We also appreciate the City of Eureka for supplying the dumpster too!
