4/12/25 – Post Cleanup Report – Eureka Waterfront Trail – Walmart Parking Lot

We had an amazing group of volunteers this morning! The Starbucks team showed up in full force to assist with our cleanup and generously brought coffee for everyone—thank you, Starbucks! PacOut Green Team volunteers Heather and Jack also contributed by baking some DELICIOUS cookies as raffle prizes for our volunteers. Huge thanks to Heather and Jack!

Our cleanup focused on the Waterfront Trail, both North and South of Walmart. Within just 60 minutes, we filled about 60% of the dumpster. That section of the trail looked quite good compared to previous cleanups we’ve conducted there. However, we did discover a stash of over 100 burnt iPhones, indicating that someone had been stealing them, extracting the hardware, and then setting them on fire. Overall, it was another successful cleanup!

We are always grateful for the donations we receive to support our cleanup efforts. We welcome raffle items for our volunteers and donations towards our cleanup fund. If you have small denomination gift cards you’d like to donate ($10), please email us at pacoutgreenteam@gmail.com.
