7/12/25 – Post Cleanup Report – HWY 255 – Adopt A Highway
We had a fantastic turnout for our regular 60-minute Adopt-A-Highway cleanup! This time, we focused our efforts along the roadside and in the wooded area just past the third bridge heading out to Samoa. That spot has gotten increasingly messy, and we were able to remove over 600 pounds of garbage — most of it from the wooded area near the abandoned camps, where there’s now a noticeable trail leading in.
A huge thank you goes out to Nina for baking some absolutely amazing pastries for our volunteers! We used them as raffle prizes, and they were a hit. Nina continues to be a loyal and much-appreciated PacOut Green Team volunteer.
Thanks again to everyone who showed up and put in the work. We’ll see you all next week for another cleanup!
