10/18/25 – Post Cleanup Report – Illegal Dumps at Samoa Peninsula
π₯ Post-Cleanup Report β Samoa Peninsula! π₯
What an incredible turnout! This cleanup was a powerful collaboration between the City of Eureka and the Samoa Fire Department, tackling one of the peninsulaβs biggest illegal dumping hot spots. πͺ
We found the remnants of a home remodel dumped, plus multiple piles of trash that had been hauled in and left illegally. But the community showed up β and together, we made a massive impact! π
In just 60 minutes, our amazing team of 29 volunteers filled two large dumpsters with over 5,600 lbs of trash! ποΈπ₯ Everyone absolutely kicked butt on this one!
A huge THANK YOU to the Samoa Fire Department for bringing out coffee and donuts for all our volunteers, and to everyone who came together to make a difference. π This area will now be monitored more closely for illegal dumping to help keep it clean and protected.
Itβs amazing what can happen when a community unites for just one hour. We truly left the Samoa Peninsula cleaner than we found it! πβ¨
