3/14/26 – Post Cleanup Report – Herrick Park N Ride
🌧️♻️ Post Cleanup Report – 3/14/26 | Herrick Park N’ Ride, Eureka ♻️🌿
It was a wet morning out at Herrick Park N’ Ride, but that didn’t stop our amazing crew 💚
Huge turnout for this cleanup! We headed to the south entrance of the Eureka Waterfront Trail, and overall that stretch is looking better than ever! The recent brush clearing has made a huge difference—better sight lines, more sunlight, and fewer mosquitoes 🙌
🧹 During our cleanup, we came across a couple of abandoned camps and a few active ones. We were able to gather a solid amount of trash from those areas and make a noticeable impact.
🙏 A big thank you to one individual who helped us out—we were glad to provide a survival backpack thanks to the Coast Central Credit Union grant.
💪 Rain or shine, our volunteers showed up and put in the work. We definitely left this part of the trail cleaner than we found it!
👏 Huge thanks to:
• Our dedicated volunteers
• City of Eureka for providing the dumpster
• Coast Central Credit Union for supporting our outreach efforts
Let’s keep it going 🌎✨
