10/17/26 – Post Cleanup Report – HWY 255 – Adopt A Highway
ππ POST-CLEANUP REPORT: ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY β HWY 255 SAMOA BRIDGES! ππ
Every piece of trash we pick up is one less piece that can make its way into Humboldt Bay and eventually the ocean. Thatβs what makes this cleanup so important to us! β»οΈ
We had a smaller turnout this weekend, but 13 amazing volunteers showed up ready to make a difference! π Our crew worked along all three Samoa Bridges, collecting approximately 240 pounds of trash and helping keep our highway, bay, and surrounding environment cleaner.
Once litter makes its way into the bay, it becomes much harder to remove. Thatβs why getting out there and picking it up before it reaches the water matters so much! π
A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who came out and gave their time to protect our beautiful open spaces. We may have been a smaller crew this time, but we still made a difference and left this section of Highway 255 cleaner than we found it! πͺ
ποΈ A special thank-you to John Onstine for sponsoring our volunteer raffle with two Pierson’s gift cards! Your support helps make these cleanups even more rewarding.
