4/22 Post Cleanup Report Earth Day Crab Park
PacOut Green Team hosted this Earth Day event out at Crab Park, sponsored by Trim Scene Solutions as a part of Humboldt Steelhead Days celebration of all things steelhead! We had a great turn out of over 30 people, including groups from Fortuna Creeks Project and Pacific Choice Seafood. Just getting out to Crab Park was quite the adventure, with Cannibal Island Rd flooded in one section and in other places heavily damaged with large, deep pot holes and ruts. Props to all who braved the bad road conditions to come out and give us a hand! We found many large tires/wheels, lots of scrap metal, and several bags worth of wet clothing, bedding, etc, as well as several buckets full of recycling.
