9/23/17 Post Cleanup Report Samoa Beach 2nd Pull Out

We were back out at Samoa Beach again this past Saturday with an awesome turn out of around 30 volunteers! Big props to Humboldt Forever-Alumni for showing up in force and to all volunteers who came out to help! We were surprised at the amount of trash we collected, just a week after Coastal Cleanup Day. We estimate around 300 lb.! This is one of the most used recreational areas on the coast in Humboldt so there is always a fair amount of trash to be found, but after the thorough cleaning last weekend there should have been very little out there. We found a soccer ball, a plastic iguana, a cooler full of stinkyness, and  the usual things like cigarette butts, recycling, and pallets.
