5/16/18 Post Cleanup Report Eureka Last Minute “Trash Bash”
On Saturday, 5/12, PacOut Green Team, ECO-Eureka and the City of Eureka, conducted the Eureka Last Minute “Trash Bash”! POGT members, along with community volunteers, city employees, firefighters from Humboldt Bay Fire, Eureka Rescue Mission volunteers, and others, cleaned up Old Town Eureka and the waterfront area, in anticipation of the first cruise ship’s arrival on Wednesday, 5/16. There was a nice turn out of around 25 volunteers (not all pictured) that showed up to help out in tidying up the city so it looks nice for our guests from around the world. An estimated 1000 lb. was recovered and disposed of properly!
