3/25/23 – Post Cleanup Report – Carlson Park – Arcata

Cleanup Details: There are lots of “live” and “abandoned” camps at Carlson Park. The homeless community in Carlson Park are still logging trees, digging trenches discarding thousands of lbs of trash in this park. The logging and trenches are going to take years to restore back to normal. Arcata can really use a Community Services Engagement Team (CSET) like what Eureka Police Department has for Carlson Park and the Arcata Marsh. Eureka’s CSET has resulted in many homeless getting the services they need and they have restored many parts of the Eureka Waterfront Trail. Thank you to all the volunteers that made it out for this very important cleanup.
