We’ve had a fantastic turnout at Cooper Gulch Recreation Area, with a focus on the wooded areas towards 14th Street and behind the Skate Park. Although there was little trash around the disc golf park, the same couldn’t be said about the two wooded areas. We were thrilled to have Eureka’s Mayor, Kim Bergel, joined us, along with members of the Fortuna High “Creeks Club.” It was a heartwarming sight to see people from all walks of life come together to enhance our second largest park in Eureka. Regardless of background or political views, everyone had a great time and worked towards a common goal.
