9/2/23 – Post Cleanup Report – Carlson Park – Arcata

Cleanup Details: We had an incredible turnout last Saturday as our community came together for a cleanup event. The City of Arcata showed tremendous support, with Vice Mayor Meredith Matthews, Council Member Stacy Atkins-Salazar, Council Member Alex Stillman, and several City Staff members joining us to clean up Carlson Park. The Fortuna High Creeks Club students also lent a hand to help their Northern Community with Carlson Park. Our collective efforts have made significant progress towards revitalizing the area, making it a wonderful place for everyone. Within just 60 minutes, we were able to fill a large dumpster with discarded items. We’d like to give a big shoutout to all the volunteers who made this possible!
