Acknowledging the Dedication of Volunteers at the Rainy Saturday Cleanup Event
Last Saturday’s cleanup was one of the wettest we’ve had in years, but that didn’t stop the dedicated volunteers who showed up to help. We would like to give a special shout out to the Arcata Elementary School – AES Booster Club non-profit organization for their assistance during the event. Parents and children alike were out in the pouring rain, helping to clean up the area. Additionally, we want to extend our appreciation to the Coast Central Credit Union for preparing some lovely gift baskets for our volunteers. Despite the harsh weather conditions, we were able to fill over half of the dumpster with heavy, wet garbage. These efforts deserve a standing ovation!
