3/16/24 – Post Cleanup Report – Herrick Park N Ride – Eureka Waterfront Trail
A Successful Cleanup Day at Herrick Park’N’Ride and Eureka Waterfront Trail
It was a lovely morning for a cleanup session! Our main focus was on the on and off ramps near the Herrick Exit. Another group headed towards the Eureka Waterfront Trail, where they found numerous abandoned camps. Due to the abundance of debris, we concentrated on the nearest ones within our 60-minute cleanup window. We managed to clear almost 1,000 lbs of trash during this time. A big thank you to all the volunteers who joined us. If you haven’t volunteered with us yet or it’s been a while, consider participating in an upcoming cleanup session. We have formed a supportive community of environmental enthusiasts, and both new and returning volunteers are always encouraged to join us!
