7/13/24 – Post Cleanup Report – Samoa Bridges Boat Launch & Waterfront Trail

It has been approximately four months since our last visit to this location. Currently, a significant number of people are residing in their RVs and vehicles here. Due to the growing population at this spot, the city should consider adding more trash cans as the existing ones fill up quickly. We noticed a considerable amount of litter around the campers and individuals living in their vehicles. In response, we distributed trash bags, socks, survival kits, hygiene supplies, and more to the new residents. Their gratitude was heartwarming, and some even joined us in the cleanup efforts. Within just 60 minutes, we managed to fill our large dumpster halfway. A big thank you to all the volunteers who participated, and to the City of Eureka for providing the dumpster.

If you are interested in contributing small denomination gift cards for our weekly volunteers or donating gifts, please reach out to us at pacoutgreenteam@gmail.com. Your support is greatly appreciated. Remember, 100% of the funds raised are reinvested to maintain the cleanliness of our beloved outdoor spaces, free from garbage and litter.
