9/7/24 – Post Cleanup Report – Fortuna Trash Bash
Overall, the cleanup was a great success, despite a challenging start. As we were leaving Eureka, our PacOut Green Team trailer experienced a flat tire, forcing us to slowly return it to its base. We then had to disconnect the trailer and load all our supplies into the back of the PacOut Green Team truck. Unfortunately, this delay caused us to arrive a bit late for the cleanup.
Once we got there, we directed everyone to their designated spots around town to begin cleaning up. One of our volunteers kindly brought their trailer to collect the trash, which was a tremendous help—thank you! In just 60 minutes, we managed to gather over 1,000 pounds of waste and four tires. We sincerely appreciate everyone who came out to help beautify Fortuna and eliminate garbage and litter.
