1/4/25 – Post Cleanup Report – HWY 255 – Adopt A Highway

It was a beautiful morning with no rain during our cleanup. Our focus was on our Adopt-A-Highway site, which is HWY 255, situated between the three bridges leading to Samoa. We discovered a significant amount of litter and stumbled upon some enormous abandoned camps along HWY 255, just north of the three bridges. While we couldn’t access those abandoned camps at that moment, we plan to arrange a future cleanup for that area. Today, we collected a total of 1,050 pounds—a solid haul overall. Several of our amazing volunteers earned patches and vests today too!
