2/15/25 – Post Cleanup Report – Blue Lake 90 Minute Trash Bash
We had an incredible turnout for our inaugural Blue Lake 90 Minute Trash Bash of 2025! It’s been nearly a year since our last event. Based on our findings, we’re planning multiple cleanups in and around Blue Lake. We identified two particularly problematic areas: one along Blue Lake Boulevard, where we discovered a significant amount of trash discarded directly off the road in various locations. The second area was just beyond the bridge leading to the hatchery, in the forest on the west side of the road, where we encountered several large abandoned homeless camps. Our efforts resulted in filling our PacOut Green Team garbage hauler and our truck with a total of 1,400 pounds of waste. A huge thank you to everyone who participated; we look forward to returning soon!
