4/5/25 – Post Cleanup Report – Eureka 90 Minute Trash Bash – Truesdale Vista Point
It turned out to be a lovely morning, and we had an impressive turnout with many new attendees. EcoEureka generously provided a variety of bagels from Los Begals to fuel our volunteers before we got to work. STIL Humboldt also joined us, bringing enough prizes for everyone! After our cleanup, we filled approximately 60% of the 40 yard dumpster. The amount of trash behind the mall was significantly less compared to previous cleanups, likely due to recent rainfall that reduced the number of abandoned camps in that area. We did concentrate our efforts on a particularly problematic spot just south of our starting point, where we found several large abandoned camps near the train tracks in the trees. We did find the remnants of a “UFO”. See if you can find it in the pictures. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated!
