5/24/25 – Post Cleanup Report – Eureka Waterfront Trail – Old Sears Parking Lot
It didn’t take long to spot litter once we ventured past the parking lot and into the greenbelts. Each greenbelt was filled with trash. We focused on cleaning the areas surrounding the parking lot and just north of it. Along the way, we encountered several friendly campers in the greenbelts who joined us in our cleanup efforts. In appreciation of their help, we provided each of them with a PacOut Green Team survival pack, which includes food, a beanie, socks, a poncho/tarp, cookware, hygiene kits, first aid supplies, and more. If you assist us in our clean up efforts and maintain a clean camp, we will reward your efforts. A big thank you to Coast Central Credit Union for the grant that enabled us to create these custom survival packs. Our volunteers did an incredible job, but we only scratched the surface. We will return to this location (Vigo St. next to MOD Pizza) on June 7th, so mark your calendars!
We are always grateful for the donations we receive to support our cleanup efforts. We welcome raffle items for our volunteers and donations towards our cleanup fund. If you have small denomination gift cards you’d like to donate ($10), please email us at pacoutgreenteam@gmail.com.
