Eureka 90-Minute Trash Bash Recap – A Beautiful Morning of Teamwork!

It was a beautiful morning for another bi-monthly Eureka 90-Minute Trash Bash! We had a great turnout and focused our efforts on the trails running both north and south of the Hikshari Trail parking lot off Hilfiker Road.

During the cleanup, we came across several abandoned homeless sites that we were able to clear out — and we even had members of the homeless community join in to help pick up trash, which was truly appreciated. Some camps showed signs of brush fires, with burned batteries, rubber, and other harmful debris that definitely don’t belong in our beautiful greenbelt areas along the waterfront.

By the end of the cleanup, we managed to fill most of a 40-yard dumpster! Huge thanks to everyone who came out and helped make Eureka cleaner than we found it. 💪

We’re always grateful for the donations and raffle prizes that keep our cleanups going strong. If you’d like to support our efforts, we welcome:
🎟️ Small gift cards for volunteer raffles (around $10 value)
💰 Donations to our cleanup fund via PayPal

All donations are tax-deductible and go directly toward keeping our community clean and green.

Let’s continue to support the people, organizations, and businesses that protect our beautiful open spaces! 🌎💚
