12/6/25 – Post Cleanup Report – Eureka Trash Bash – Vigo St.
🌟 Another Successful Eureka Trash Bash! 🌟
Today’s cleanup at Vigo St., right next to MOD Pizza, was a huge success. This spot connects to a trail that leads into the Eureka Waterfront Trail. While the area is currently used by members of the unhoused community and has several active camps, we’re hopeful that one day it can become a clean, safe, and welcoming access point for everyone who wants to enjoy the Waterfront Trail. 💚
This time around, the area wasn’t as impacted as on previous visits — but we still managed to fill about 60% of a 40-yard dumpster, which is thousands of pounds of trash removed. 🗑️💪
A massive THANK YOU to our incredible community for showing up for the final Eureka Trash Bash of the year! We handed out lots of vests and patches to volunteers who earned them, and as always, we’re grateful for your dedication. 🙌
✨ Special Thanks To:
• Jason and Jen from STIL for donating all the prizes for our collaborative event
• City of Eureka for their partnership and for bringing delicious Los Bagels bagels & cream cheese
• Los Bagels for donating those bagels
• In-N-Out, who surprised us with two trays of breakfast burritos for our volunteers! 🌯💛
We left the area cleaner than we found it — and our bellies full thanks to all the generous food contributions. 🥯🌯💚
Here’s to community, teamwork, and making a difference together. See you next year! ✨♻️🌊
