5/30/26 – Post Cleanup Report – Samoa Bridges Boat Launch & Waterfront Trail

πŸŒžβ™»οΈ Post Cleanup Report – 5/30/2026 | Eureka Waterfront Trail β™»οΈπŸŒΏ

Another great morning making a difference in our community! πŸ’š

Our volunteers tackled both directions of the Eureka Waterfront Trail, as well as the roadsides and railroad corridors between the Adorni Center and the Blue Ox. While the waterfront is one of Eureka’s most beautiful areas, it also sees a steady flow of litter and illegal dumping. Every cleanup helps prevent trash from making its way into Humboldt Bay and protects the wildlife and natural spaces that make our community so special.

In just 60 minutes, our dedicated volunteers removed an estimated 900 pounds of garbage and debris from the area. That’s 900 pounds that won’t end up in our waterways, wetlands, or public spaces. πŸ™Œ

A huge thank you to everyone who showed up ready to work. Whether you picked up one bag or twenty, your efforts matter. These cleanups are proof that a small group of motivated people can make a big impact.
