1/31/26 – Post Cleanup Report – HWY 255 – Adopt A Highway

Post Cleanup Report – January 31st
PacOut Green Team Adopt-A-Highway | HWY 255 (The Three Bridges) ♻️🌉

It was a beautiful Saturday morning for our cleanup along HWY 255 (the Three Bridges) as part of our PacOut Green Team Adopt-A-Highway program — and we had an incredible turnout of nearly 30 volunteers! 🙌

A lot of trash gets compiled along the bridges — sometimes intentionally, sometimes unintentionally. It’s critical that we remove it before it makes its way into the bay. Once debris reaches the bay, it’s on its way to the ocean, where it can remain for decades.

In just 60 minutes, we filled our trailer with nearly 700 pounds of trash! 💪

We collected:
• Lots of cigarette butts
• Single-use cups
• Recyclables
• Fast-food wrappers
• Debris from an abandoned camp
• And much more

Huge thank you to all 27 amazing volunteers who came out and made this such a productive and positive morning. Your efforts truly protect our waterways. 🌊💚

✨ Special thanks to John Onstine for donating two $20 gift cards to Pierson’s for our volunteer raffle winners! John is a true PacOut Green Team Environmental Hero, and we are so grateful for everything he does to support our mission.

Please continue to support the people, organizations, and businesses that support our environment! 🌎
