Cleanup Details:

  • Volunteers: 31
  • Weight: 250 lbs – 7 syringes. This was the first time we’ve cleaned up Cooper Gulch since May of 2019. We were not sure what to expect. When we arrived we quickly notices that there has been lots of LOVE given to the park in the last several months. It was the cleanest we’ve ever seen it. After talking with city officials, we realized that between the efforts of EPD’s CSET team, local disc golf organizations, and the CCC a lot was done to cleanup the brush and trash in this park. We were expecting to fill up a dumpster, after our 60 minute cleanup we had the equivalent of six 5o gallon trash bags of trash. Thank you to all the Volunteers, thank you to Eureka’s UPLIFT volunteers, thank you to EPD and thank you to Mayor Susan Seaman for making this cleanup happen.
