Community Comes Together to Clean Up Lucas Street – Eureka, CA

Local residents Phillip Nicklas and Hailey Lamb discovered an environmental disaster located in a small Redwood forest off Lucas Street in Eureka, CA. Below are the “BEFORE” and “AFTER” photos.

The cleanup was a collaboration between Phillip Nicklas, Hailey Lamb, John Shelter of “The People of New Directions”, Sean Swanson of “River Life Foundation”, us (PacOut Green Team) and several other dedicated community members. The community came together to turn this small Redwood forest and waterway back into its natural habitat.
