3/23/24 – Post Cleanup Report – Fortuna Trash Bash

After a heavy rainstorm before the cleanup began, the sky cleared up by 8:45 am, and the rain paused throughout the 90-minute cleanup. Once we finished, the rain resumed. We are grateful to the weather gods for their timely cooperation.
We collected a significant amount of trash at the Atterberry Park N’ Ride and behind Burger King and Safeway in the greenbelts.
In total, we gathered over 1300 lbs of trash in 90 minutes. Special thanks to the River Life Foundation for their support and providing us with a dump trailer. We appreciate all the volunteers who joined us for this remarkable 90-minute cleanup, despite the weather.
